From Business Major to President – Tim Burroughs

The journey from becoming a Business Administration Major at Texas Christian University may not have been an easy one, but Tim Burroughs started in school and has ended up becoming the President of several companies that he started himself or helped start. Nowadays, many college students will obtain their degree but never use it. This is not the case with Tim as he has taken his business degree and put it to good use. Not only was he part of some big drilling ventures in Texas, but he was the driving force behind many of them with his companies TBX Resources and Gulftex Operating Inc.

You can’t learn everything there is to know about business in the classroom, but it can produce a good foundation for success in the business world. Tim took the business administration education he received in the classroom to the business world with the drive and passion to create a successful company in the oil and gas industry. In fact, he didn’t just create one successful company, he created a few of them. Probably the most important business lesson he learned was that of forming relationships with the right companies to accomplish the goals he set fourth for his companies.
